Today, the results of the Mandela International Prize for Literature were released in the 2021 cycle in the short story, poetry and novel, achieving an honorable presence for contemporary Syrian creativity.

In the category of the best short story collection, the writer Mervat Ahmed Ali won first place for her collection of short stories. She is a member of the Arab Writers Union, the Society of Story and Fiction.

Last month, she also won first place in the Salah Hilal Arab Literary Competition in the best short story for her story, Beirut 75. Arab Poetry Association.

It is worth mentioning that the Mandela Prize for Literature was launched in its first pioneering experience this year, and it was a high degree of organization, arbitration competence, integrity and confidentiality.

In a statement to SANA, the writer Mervat Ali said: The Mandela Prize for Literature is my second award at the international level, after I won first place in the Cesar Ejido Serrano International Prize for the best children's theatrical text. A media follow-up, because it is, above all else, associated with the name of one of the world's greatest honorable fighters, Nelson Mandela, and this is exactly what makes me more happy and happy.

As for the poet Al-Kaoud, he said: The Mandela Prize, in its first Arabic version, is the ship that will lead me to the world. The best poets.
