Deir Ezzor-SANA
The educational youth camp in the city of Mayadin in Deir ez-Zor, which is organized by the branch of the Revolutionary Youth Union in the governorate, includes various cultural, artistic, developmental, voluntary, awareness-raising and recreational activities that develop students’ skills and refine their talents.
The Secretary of the Youth Union branch, Basil Al-Hassan, told SANA reporter that the camp aims to enhance the skills of the participating students and cultivate a culture of volunteering in them, in addition to providing them with many life skills.
The supervisor, Samar Al-Mohammed, indicated that the camp, in which 250 young men and women participate, includes artistic and cultural activities within its headquarters in Al-Hassan School in Al-Mayadin, developmental and voluntary activities such as cleaning campaigns and assisting the workers in Al-Mayadin automated bakery in their work. It also includes dialogue sessions, awareness lectures and recreational trips.
A number of students expressed their happiness to participate in the camp, which contributes to developing their talents and filling their spare time in a positive and useful manner, including the young woman, Esraa Al-Ali, who indicated that the camp formed a state of interaction with the community through the implemented activities, especially related to volunteer work, which is reflected in the cleanliness and aesthetics of the city.
The young woman, Seden Al-Rawi, pointed out that the camp provided an opportunity for her to refine her talent in poetry and rhetoric, pointing to the positive and interactive atmosphere within the camp.
