Despite the pandemic restrictions, the graduation ceremony of the 32 graduates of the Nandlstadt Middle School was very solemn.

- All the speakers in the old gymnasium of the middle school emphasized that the past year had no hint of coziness.

Patience, consideration, discipline and solidarity were demanded of all those involved in order to master the "high school graduation milestone", said Rector Elke Gold to the graduates: "Still approaching the new goals with confidence."

“All doors are open to you”, recalled Hörgertshausen's mayor Michael Hobmaier at the end of his school days 41 years ago in the same place - “with Rector Arthur Bock and the teachers Günther Hermann and Albin Taresch”. The paths are now open to them, says Hobmaier, who recalled his career: "With 15 apprenticeships, with 18 journeyman, with 27 master carpenter and today mayor."

Of 32 students, 30 took the exam for a qualified secondary school leaving certificate - with a 70 percent success rate.

Of the 21 who now have the “Quali” in their pockets, the best of the year had a grade of 1.9: Josef Sachsenhauser from Reichertshausen and the two Nandlstädter Michaela Graf and Lena Assenbrunner.

Hobmaier, who was one of the guests of honor together with Rudelzhausen's mayor Michael Krumbucher and the two vice-men, Rainer Klier (Nandlstadt) and Martin Linseisen (Au), was delighted that all three began their further career with training to become agricultural machinery mechanics, retail saleswoman and landscape gardener .

Due to the topicality, 9 a-class leader Alexandra Schinner compared the school year 2021 with the Olympics, which required a tight schedule, made the students in homeschooling into lone fighters, in order to then prepare for the finals together again in the “N032 practice room” from February onwards.

Unfortunately, the six athletes had to forego the “training camp in Bella Italia”, the compulsory final trip over the Alps, this year.

Nevertheless, Schinner took stock of her Absolvia with satisfaction: "The coaching staff is proud of you."

Her colleague Monika Schwede also found words of praise for the 9 b, which she took over from Stefanie Stempfhuber during the school year due to pregnancy.

From home, however, Stempfhuber had also looked after her students and also enriched the discharge ceremony with a picture show.

Instead of medals, the students were given diplomas to the tune of “Time to say goodbye”.
