The initiative promoted by the

Fundación Solidaridad Cáncer Argentina

, was found with the support of the members of the

Argentine National Team

champion of the

Copa América

.

"The video went viral as soon as we published it through the networks because of the passion of Argentines," says Débora Bosco, leader of the foundation based in Esteban Echeverría.

And he comments that it could be done "thanks to the goodwill of friends and contacts who facilitated communication with personalities from the artistic, political and sports world."

"In this case, it was achieved that the Players led by their captain

Lionel Messi

, left a message of support thanks to friends that we have at the Ezeiza headquarters of the AFA, who have always had a very good predisposition to collaborate with the work we do", explains the neighbor of Monte Grande, who also received several shirts signed by the players themselves, so that the foundation can raffle or auction them, and in this way raise funds.

Débora Bosco is a resident of the town of

Monte Grande

who

makes a living selling pizzas and cakes

and, at the same time, is dedicated to the foundation that began to take shape two years ago.

"

Cancer

generates the loss of a significant number of lives every year, a very great emotional damage caused by the uncertainty about the lives of patients, generating psychological disorders as a result of the stress situation they experience, especially by not receiving the medications ”, he explains about the main objective.

After a long time working, growing and advancing, they were established as a foundation this year.

“This is how the Argentine Cancer Solidarity arises on March 29 of this year,” says Débora, who when she was a child lost her mother because of cancer.

Débora handing the medication to a neighbor in Monte Grande.

“Almost all the members of our entity have had mostly experiences in relation to cancer.

In my case,

when I was only 3 years old, my mother began to feel bad and passed away.

All my life I believed that I had died from a brain aneurysm, which was what I had been told, but when I started investigating a few months ago I got a death certificate and found out that I had kidney cancer.

I said to myself 'wow, how did I go to focus so much on this without knowing it, it's like I was destined ", she says.

He explains that the hardest part of the disease and the main objective to combat is the difficulty that cancer patients have in obtaining drugs, for various reasons, among them, the lack in the pharmaceutical market or that social and prepaid works they are late in delivering or do not authorize prescribed medications and deliver lower cost medications that often do not have the same effect.

The neighbor is in constant contact with sick patients who unfortunately have limited resources and fight daily for their lives.

“We work hard.

My days start very early, after leaving my three children at school I connect to the networks.

I talk to my collaborators and we coordinate

if it is necessary to withdraw medication or take it to someone who is sick.

I usually receive between five and six calls a day, ”he says.

Beyond being the visible head, she emphasizes that "she is not alone."

The team is made up of Rubén Daniel Ariza as Secretary General of the Foundation, Gabriel Velázquez in the Treasury area and a group of solidarity companions that she points out, have been accompanying her for years just because they can assist people in need.

The Foundation was created this year, but Débora has been carrying out her charitable work long before.

At the time of providing medications, they must verify that they are indeed needed., They ask the patient to present ID and prescription for medical prescription along with a certificate that informs their diagnosis.

"Everything goes through the

verification of an oncologist

who collaborates with the institution and if all is well we agree to deliver the remedies," he says.

They get everything through donations from individuals and in some cases from pharmacies committed to the foundation.

Who could be a link between the cancer patient and the medicine they need to little by little cure their disease, comments that their

job is to "channel"

: "We do what is in our power to benefit people affected by cancer, too We try to advise people who have social works and we contact them with the Ombudsman's Office to enforce their rights ”.

"We want to reach as many people as possible with our solidarity work and be able to carry out different projects to support and accompany sick people and their families," he says, emphasizing the main goal for the future: to get a physical space from which They can work since at the moment they are doing it from Débora's house.

He says that he has contacted Municipal Provincial and National authorities to gradually materialize it together with other dreams that they also have:

“We want to carry out preventive health education projects on cancer, promote research, achieve an expansion of the resection program for donated oncology medication, set up our own oncology drug bank supervised by qualified pharmaceutical personnel, and of course continue with the medication assistance, creating tomorrow a good functional logistical apparatus for the distribution of donations ”, he concludes.
