The workshops of the Latakia Electricity Company today restored the electricity to the villages of Al-Ghanimiya and Wadi Al-Sheikan in the northern countryside of Lattakia, after they completed the rehabilitation and restoration work of the low and medium electrical networks and the switching centers within the framework of government efforts and the efforts of Lattakia Governorate to encourage the return of the people to their homes and their settlement there, after they were displaced from it as a result of the attacks. terrorist.

Electricity workshops around the clock ten days ago started their work in the area amid a welcome by the people returning to their homes, especially since some of them returned to their homes immediately after the defeat of terrorism, and found that the electricity supply and the attention to services is a step for the rest of the families to return to their homes so that the village returns to being as it was.

Haniyeh Belilo, from the village of Wadi al-Sheikhan, does not hide her joy at her return to her village by saying, “We returned to our homes with the strength of the army and planted our land, and today we are returning to repopulate it with the state’s mission. Jamil Jamal, who is also a resident of the village from which he was displaced about 8 years ago, expressed his happiness to return to it.

Ghassan Bazid from the village of Al-Ghanimiya, who also returned to his village immediately after the terrorists were defeated, expressed his joy at the return of the electricity, which will contribute to the return of other families as it helps in providing additional services, calling on the people of his village also to return to it. Three years ago, despite the lack of electricity, they indicated that the return was the first concern for most of the people, which was achieved thanks to the Syrian Arab Army, and that the return of electricity was thanks to the army's victory over terrorism as well.

The director of Latakia Electricity Company, Engineer Jaber Assi, explained to SANA reporter that terrorist organizations have completely sabotaged the electrical network in the area, and that the company’s workshops started its restoration and rehabilitation work about a week ago, within the framework of an integrated plan to secure the electric current for the people who returned to their homes in this area and settled there.

Assi pointed out that the workshops are working around the clock to recharge the electricity to the rest of the villages adjacent to the villages of Al-Ghanimiya and Wadi Al-Sheikhan, provided that they are in service within a period not exceeding one month, according to the priority of the return of residents and residents to each village.

Assi pointed out that the Ministry of Electricity is keen to secure the materials needed for these works, which are being closely and directly followed up by the Lattakia Governorate, which is also carried out in conjunction with the rehabilitation and maintenance of roads, water networks, and others, stressing on working at the same time to secure electrical nutrition for citizens' homes in an emergency manner according to a program that will be implemented. Put it in coordination with the mayors and civil events.

Head of the Overhead Networks Division in the Electricity Company, Engineer Haider Shabib stated that the company has rehabilitated the medium tension line feeding the villages of Al-Ghanimiya, Wadi Al-Sheikan and the neighboring villages, through great efforts made by the workers, despite the severe weather and heat conditions, and now the transfer center is being equipped to feed the low tension of the people returning to their homes, stressing the continuation Working at the same pace to restore electricity to the neighboring villages and restore life in them.
