The local council in the city of al-Nabk in the countryside of Damascus started asphalting the streets of al-Zarraa, al-Jarajir and Abu Sefo at a cost of 159 million Syrian pounds, and rehabilitating 6 schools.
The head of the council, Wissam Talib, said in a statement to the representative of SANA that according to a civil initiative launched by the civil society recently to support the council and the service departments in the city, the asphalting of the aforementioned streets and the rehabilitation of the middle of Abu Sefu Street has been started.
Taleb indicated that work is being done to implement a project with the support of the local council, with a value of 100 million pounds, that includes asphalting the Arqoub Road and the eastern entrance to the city, which connects Nabek with Deir Mar Musa al-Habashi, and the rehabilitation, maintenance and asphalting of the entrances to the southern and northern city of Nabek and Yabroud Road, with a value of 75 million pounds from the independent budget of the governorate, in addition to A project for maintenance of secondary streets, worth 60 million pounds, to be implemented from the budget of the city council, and a project for maintenance and replacement of some sewage lines, with a value of 50 million pounds.
In the town of Dimas, the head of the local council, Talaat Saleh, stated that asphalting maintenance for the main streets in the town was started at a cost of 25 million pounds, in addition to the existence of two projects for maintenance and asphalting of the rest of the streets in Dimas and the farm of Deir al-Ashera, which were approved and will be launched this month.
Saleh revealed a development investment project worth 95 million pounds, which was provided as a subsidy for the council to establish 5 commercial stores with the aim of securing new revenues for the council and improving services in the town.
