Miesbach - Because they no longer wanted their employees to clean the square, VIVO removed the used clothes container at the cemetery parking lot in Miesbach.
.Full dog waste bags on the floor, illegally deposited electronic waste and bulky waste: the recycling island on the cemetery parking lot on Von-Vollmar-Straße in Miesbach is anything but appetizing.
Now the municipal waste disposal company VIVO has removed the old clothes container there.
"The cause of the withdrawal was recurring soiling of the container and the container environment," said the head of recyclable waste disposal, Annerose Hünerfeld, when asked.
"Because of this soiling, it was no longer reasonable for the employees of the used clothing disposal to empty the bins."
Municipal waste company pulls the rip cord
VIVO had already dismantled the old clothes container in March - and then replaced it with a new one.
However, this was also contaminated, which is why the municipal company has now finally pulled the rip cord.
The light packaging and waste glass containers, on the other hand, should remain in the cemetery parking lot.
“They were not affected by this form of pollution.
From our point of view, there is therefore no reason to close the container location, ”said Hünerfeld.
The type of pollution in the used clothing container has so far only occurred on Von-Vollmar-Straße - other locations are not affected.
The container network in the district is to be expanded
Hünerfeld emphasizes that it is not in VIVO's interest to dismantle container locations.
“It is still our goal to offer the population near-household disposal options for recyclable materials.
Against this background, the depot container network should be expanded as far as possible. "
On the Breitensteinstrasse and Fellerbachstrasse as well as on Schweinthaler Strasse and Thalhamer Strasse near Schopfgraben, the people of Miesbach can still dispose of clean and sound old clothes - packed in sacks - and shoes.
