Because everything was right for “agratt”, a band was founded in Pullach. A coincidental product with the beautiful dialect word "Agratt" as a name.

Because everything was right for “agratt”, a band was founded in Pullach.

A coincidental product with the beautiful dialect word "Agratt" as a name.

Pullach

- Actually, Sigi Reiner, who has been stage manager in the Bürgerhaus Pullach for 25 years, only wanted to jumble a little after work with his childhood friend Thomas Schwarze, who, funnily enough, also works for the community but in the building yard.

Both like to make music, Black plays guitar, Reiner percussion, and he sings.

But then a number of coincidences arose, and recently you could see the two of them performing for the first time in Pullach.

Together with the six-member band they recently founded and which is called "Agratt".

Nice dialect term

Agratt is a common word in Upper Bavaria and means something like: of all things, at the moment.

Because it was just as the six very lively contemporaries tell you on a Monday afternoon before their third band rehearsal, that agratt at the moment when Reiner was sorting the equipment to make a little music with black people, Mike Burger, the "house electrician" from Pullach, turned the corner.

What he's doing there, isn't there anything going on in the community center today?

Reiner told him what was going on, it turned out that Burger is also a passionate, also very broad-based hobby musician who plays guitar, bass, squeeze and keyboard - and he was there.

Lighting supervisors and other building yard employees join them - and a 13-year-old drummer

So it went on.

So Arthur Zacharrias, lighting master in the community center, and Martin Scherzer, employee in the building yard, was made aware of the project by Thomas Schwarze agratt at the moment when he had the time and the desire to get into the music more intensively.

It all happened by itself. And when the drummer had to drop out after an accident, it occurred to Burger agratt that the younger daughter of local councilor Holger Ptacek was also ambitious in making music.

She was invited to play along, she accepted the invitation and thus contributed to the somehow very funny fact that Agratt, the band that until then consisted of all guys around 50 who worked for the community, now became a band, which consists of lots of guys around 50 and a 13-year-old girl.

The main thing is that it's fun

The “main premise” is “that we have fun”, say those involved in the interview, which is very lively. Jokes are not only liked to be made, but also laughed at willingly when someone else makes them. Almost everyone in the band has played in ensembles before, Mike Burger, who is still unable to read music, was so successful with “Sabrina and the Coconuts” that it became too much for him at some point precisely because of this success. The appearances in Austria, Germany, France "became too stressful for me" and he quit. Before Corona, Thomas Schwarze also played medieval music on the lute at the Kaltenberg knight tournaments, while Sigi Reiner had no stage experience before Agratt. Or rather, his stage experience consisted in getting the stage ready forthat other artists could play on it. But he practiced diligently with karaoke apps, and also: "I sing everywhere, including in the car."

At the first appearance it suddenly started without any introduction

And when he presented the pieces at the first joint appearance as part of the “Auftauchen” festival, which, among other things, Ptacek council had organized, the others confirm that it sounded perfectly clean and professional.

Even if, as he laughs, it had hailed his whole concept - because actually he would have wanted to say a lot even before the first song they played, a song by Andreas Gabalier, which is about the suicide of his sister and the Reiner allen Corona - wanted to dedicate the dead.

But then somehow the concert just started without any introductory words - and he had to reschedule quickly.

From Wolfgang Ambros to the Spider Murphy Gang

This already outlines the direction in which the five Agratt musicians and their musician want to go with their band.

You have STS in your program, Wolfgang Ambros, the Spider Murphy Gang is also at the top of the program with a few pieces.

There are currently ten songs in the repertoire, 50 to 60 are conceivable, they say.

"Everyone has their favorite things that the others might take over too."

The main thing is that the level is right

And how does the whole thing feel for Nadja Ptacek, what is it like to make music with five lively guys who are all four times your age? She smiles a little and says that it doesn't really matter who you play with, the main thing is that the level is right. “And the level here is higher than the big band at school.” Broad grin on five more or less furrowed faces when she says that. Then they start to rehearse, “The flower from the municipal housing”, “We'll see each other again” - exactly the song with which they opened their first concert. Sounds like they could also create a good mood for an evening.
