This evening, the activities of the Charities Festival, in its eighth session, were launched in the Mall Square in the city of Jableh in Lattakia Governorate.

The companies participating in the ten-day festival display products ranging from clothing for all ages, foodstuffs, cleaning materials, electrical equipment, and others.

In a statement to SANA reporter, the director of the festival, Dr. Nisreen Al-Nahhas, indicated that 32 national industrial and commercial companies offer their products during the festival at discounts of 20 to 50 percent on the local market prices, noting that the festival aims to deliver the product from the factory to the consumer directly in a manner that serves both the merchant and the consumer alike. Pointing out that the turnout is good on the first day and heralds the success of the festival.

For his part, Engineer Ahmed Qanadel, head of the Jableh City Council, considered the festival an opportunity to encourage economic movement and support the local product, which finds a positive response, pointing out that the Syrian product enjoys high specifications and must be encouraged and promoted to overcome the effects of the unjust war on Syria and to confirm that the Syrian citizen fights with one hand and works with the other. .

Fatina Othman, owner of a women's clothing and purveyors company, indicated that the aim of her participation is to deliver the goods from the producer to the consumer at 35 to 50 percent cheaper than market prices.

Ali Ismail, agent of a company for natural herbs, said that their participation aims to take advantage of opportunities to strengthen economic activities in a way that helps in revitalizing the commercial movement with tangible discounts, while Iyad Zaza, a representative of a food and pasta company, pointed out that the goal of participating in the festival is to reach all segments of society at the lowest price and discounts of up to 40 percent, describing the turnout. It is good.

For her part, Maryam Shehadeh, owner of a food and confectionery company, stated that there is a “great demand” for purchases. The goods and products are good, with discounts by the company of up to 70 percent, while Hanna Esber, a sales supervisor for one of the companies, explained that the discounts offered by them amount to 25 percent.

A number of festival visitors expressed their admiration for the exhibits, as Abdel Rahim Adib, head of the Al-Birr and Social Services Association in Jableh, indicated that holding the festival eases the burdens on citizens through positive intervention and gives good results through the participation of major Syrian companies with real discounts.

Bassam Julmbo, director of Julmbo Exhibitions and Conferences Company, said that the festival is distinguished by the quality of exhibitors and the way they deal with visitors, and the organizing company's interest in its great potential to benefit exhibitors, pointing out that the festival is constantly developing.

Shopper Lubna Al-Khatib indicated that she saw clear differences in prices compared to the market, pointing out that such festivals offer a wide variety of goods, and Salwa Bakbashi agreed with this, who pointed out the quality of the offered products.
