Iraqi forces seized weapons, tunnels and hideouts for the terrorist organization “ISIS” in Kirkuk Governorate, northern Iraq.
The Iraqi News Agency quoted the Security Media Cell as saying in a statement today that a force of the Federal Police and its formations, in partnership with Military Intelligence, carried out a large-scale security operation to search the Hamrin hills and the village of Tawila, in addition to Wadi Zghitoun, the village of Al-Jal and the village of Al-Kubba, which resulted in the discovery of four hideouts for the remnants of ISIS terrorists. Two tunnels and six explosive charges.
The statement confirmed that the dens and tunnels were destroyed, and the explosive devices and other materials were treated by the concerned authorities.
The Iraqi forces are continuing their security operations in various regions of the country to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorists and cleanse the country of terrorism.
