Students from the City and Province of Buenos Aires

will return to face-to-face classes this Monday with different protocols

, which gave rise to new crossings between the Nation and the Buenos Aires Government due to the way in which the return to the classroom is established.

After the recess of the winter holidays, in the City of Buenos Aires

this Monday they will resume the initial and primary levels

of public and private institutions. The return will be under the same conditions in which the students attended in person until July 16.

The secondary level will only return on Wednesday

, since this Monday and Tuesday there will be exam tables, and with the return of these students a different educational scheme will begin in Buenos Aires territory that will gradually seek a class dictation similar to pre-school times. pandemic.

In Province, on the other hand, from this Monday

the presence of all the students of the Buenos Aires educational system will return

, which includes the three levels (initial, primary and secondary) and state and private schools. But the students will not be in the classroom on a sustained basis: a

system of weekly face-to-face rotation

will continue to be implemented

. In other words, half a course will attend the establishment one week and the other half will learn remotely from home.

Unlike the previous semester, from this Monday

in the City, the attendance to the classrooms will be compulsory

and the students who maintain virtuality will be counted absent.

This rule will not apply to students who have a risk condition or live with risky people.

In those cases, education will continue through platforms.

In the Province, with the dual model, the compulsory

attendance

is not contemplated

.

In the province, face-to-face classes will be held throughout its territory.

Last week 13 municipalities, which were still in phase 2 and did not have authorization to return to the classrooms, finally passed to phase 3. In this way the students of those parties will be able to attend school.

Until the beginning of July, in the Province the classes lasted a maximum of four hours per day and there were 37 municipalities in the interior that were not authorized to open the institutions.

After the sustained claim of the Organized Parents group and entities that group private schools, the Buenos Aires Government

enabled the extension of the schedule and now added the presence throughout the Province.

For its part, the City will take another step that, according to the educational authorities, will resemble the learning process to pre-Covid times, but with chinstrap, distance and cross ventilation. On Wednesday, when the secondary students return, a process that they called "full presence" will begin to be implemented in the fourth and fifth years and in the fifth and sixth years of technical schools.

This scheme will consist of

the students sharing the course with all their classmates

and the bubble is made up of the entire year, room or grade.

Between the different "bubble-groups", for example between a fourth-year division and a fifth-year division, a distance must be maintained at least one and a half meters.

And within the classroom, the places will be established by the authorities: each student will have a fixed place that cannot be modified.

In the last two years of high school, starting on August 9, students from first, second and third of secondary and first, second, third and fourth of technical schools will be incorporated into the new scheme.

Once secondary school is completed, and provided that the health situation allows it, on August 17, students from the primary level, those of special modality, those of school for adults, those of the non-university higher level and those from the Training Centers will join. Professional.

Finally, on August 23, the boys and girls of the initial level will do it.

Since the middle of last year, when in the middle of the strict quarantine, there was talk about a possible return of the students to the classrooms, what decisions regarding education the City makes and what decisions the Province makes, became a political dispute.

The last crossing happened this Saturday.

This Sunday the Minister of Education of the Nation, Nicolás Trotta, criticized the Buenos Aires government and the return of the presence without limitations in the number of students.

"The only thing we are asking the head of government and his Minister of Health, Fernán Quirós, if they have evidence that allows us to confirm that we can have

the absolute return of the children to schools

, that they share it, because all the evidence that we have is different, "Trotta warned in radio statements.

And in the same sense, he assured that if the Buenos Aires administration sent him the empirical data that justified this educational presence without a bubble, he promised to "be the main interested party in taking it to the Federal Council of Education and modifying the current norm, which establishes

a meter and a half inside the classroom

, and that was voted by all jurisdictions ".
