Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh condemned allegations by the British and American foreign ministers about Iran's involvement in targeting an Israeli tanker in the northern Oman Sea last Thursday.

Khatibzadeh wrote in a tweet to him on Twitter today, “Iran condemns the two inciting statements by Britain and America that were issued with orchestrated coordination against the country,” stressing that these accusations contain contradictory, empty and provocative matters and are not based on any evidence.

Khatibzadeh criticized the double standards adopted by Western countries, pointing out that these countries are silent in support of terrorist acts of sabotage against Iranian commercial ships in the Red Sea and international waters.

On the other hand, Khatibzadeh reiterated his country's firm position in support of cooperation in providing maritime security with the countries of the region.

And "Khatibzadeh" confirmed earlier today that his country will not hesitate "for a moment" in defending its security and national interests and will respond to any possible aggression or adventure immediately and strongly, once again denying Western accusations in the case of targeting an Israeli tanker in the North Sea of ​​Oman, describing the allegations of the British foreign ministers. And the US in this regard against Tehran as untrue.
