The residents of the Al-Muhajireen neighborhood in the city of Deir ez-Zor launched a voluntary campaign to clean the alleys and streets of the neighborhood and remove rubble and waste from public squares and gathering places.
The Mukhtar of Al-Muhajireen neighborhood Kasir Al-Habash explained in a statement to SANA reporter that all the residents of Al-Muhajireen neighborhood participate in this campaign by cleaning sidewalks and streets in cooperation with Deir Ezzor Governorate, which provided a number of mechanisms to remove rubble and waste from the gathering places, pointing out that the campaign comes as an embodiment of the participatory situation in Work and emphasizing the role of the local community in contributing to the advancement of the service reality and playing an active role alongside government institutions.
A number of neighborhood residents indicated that their participation in the campaign is an expression of their desire to provide something useful to their city and show it in a civilized manner, stressing that this work is the beginning of voluntary work that will include all facilities in the neighborhood.
