For its part, Postbank has been part of the large German financial institution since it was taken over by Deutsche Bank, which began in 2009.
The only remaining connection to the post, besides the story, is that it continues to be their house bank.
This fact is one of the causes of problems the Post had to deal with with the move.
Because with all of its services, this is basically just a subtenant in the bank branch.
When looking for new business premises - the City-Galerie will be demolished shortly - the bank primarily thought of its needs.
The fact that the Post had previously had the posters delivered there picked up daily in the established branch with a 7.5-ton truck probably played no role in the considerations.
The use of a larger truck to pick up parcels is no longer possible at the Kleiner Stachus due to lack of space.
A request to the city as to whether two parking spaces could be blocked for this was rejected.
According to Nawrath, the problem has now been solved differently.
Instead of a 7.5-tonner, three smaller Mercedes Sprinter vans are used.
They can drive into the inner courtyard of the office and load or unload their vehicles there.
According to Nawrath, this has so far worked without any problems: “We don't have any longer running times because of this.
No package has arrived later than before. "
Another deficit will be remedied shortly, according to the Post spokesman.
Customers complained to Münchner Merkur that there was no mailbox at the new branch.
That is a shield prank.
According to Nawrath, the mailbox has not been forgotten.
A craftsman had long been commissioned with the installation, but had not yet managed to do it.
