75 male and female volunteers from different age groups participated in the blood donation campaign organized by the Ethar Charitable Society in Lattakia in partnership with the Syrian National Campaign and the Good Women of Syria on the occasion of the Syrian Arab Army Day.
Mrs. Daad Al-Aji, head of the association, said that the event, which came under the slogan “It is an honor for us that our blood mingles with theirs,” is a message of honor and reverence for our brave army men throughout the Syrian geography on their feast and in honor of our holy martyrs who shed their pure blood on the soil of this precious country.
Volunteers Daad Raslan and Sawsan Diop emphasized the need to spread societal awareness of the culture of blood donation based on the promotion of the concept of social responsibility and the importance of such volunteer work from the physical, psychological and human aspects.
In turn, Marwan Suleiman, director of the Syrian National Campaign, said that the participation of civil society, especially young people, in humanitarian activities and initiatives aims to inculcate the spirit of teamwork and the culture of volunteerism among the new generation and encourage them to adopt and spread it as partners in building the future.
