Queen takes the next step in the dispute with Harry and Meghan: Royal break with it completely?

The headlines around the "Megxit" do not break even more than a year after Harry and Meghan left.

Now the Queen goes one step further.

London - On March 31, 2020, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan officially resigned from their duties as senior royals of the British royal family.

What used to be unthinkable, the two simply did.

Of course not without the corresponding headwind - from the population and from the royal family themselves. But anyone who thought the topic was eaten shortly afterwards could hardly be mistaken.

Harry had just returned to California from a trip to Great Britain, and there is already another scandal: The house in which the Sussexes stayed during their time in England has now been cleared by employees.

As the

reports, employees of Windsor Castle started packing the couple's remaining belongings at Frogmore Cottage just a few days after Harry's departure.

"They put away the personal items like framed photos that were in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's old bedroom," an anonymous source inside the palace is quoted as saying.

Prince Harry recently stayed at Frogmore Cottage when he traveled to England to unveil a statue in honor of his late mother, Princess Diana. Where the Sussexes will stay in Harry's home on future trips is unclear. Because the couple's belongings have already been removed from the property. According to the British newspaper

, the private items will be sent to Harry and Meghan's new address in Montecito, California. The two currently live there with their son Archie (2) and their one-month-old daughter Lilibet Diana.

Whether this step by the royal house has anything to do with the recently published announcement of Harry's memoir for 2022 remains open.

Royal experts have already agreed that the publication of the book in the year of the Queen's platinum anniversary is not exactly respectful.

Because it is assumed that the royal family will not come off particularly well in the prince's memoir.

So it remains to be seen how the relationship between the dropouts and the royal family will continue to develop.
