The Paris Bourse concluded its first session in August with a clear increase (+ 0.95%), supported by solid corporate results, also succeeding in overcoming fears related to the spread of the Delta variant.

The flagship index of the Parisian market rebounded 63.14 points to 6,675.90 points, after a decline of 0.32% on Friday.

Axa pushes the CAC 40

Behind him, EssilorLuxottica gained 3.04% to 164 euros, hailed for the upward revision of its outlook for 2021. For its part, the trio of luxury stocks formed by LVMH (+ 1.94% to 687 euros) , Kering (+ 2.42% to 774.50 euros) and Hermès (+ 1.63% to 1,310 euros) contributed to the increase in the index.

Bolloré does not convince

The diversified group Bolloré (-1.32% to 4.65 euros) saw its turnover increase by 10% and its net profit rise by 26% in the first half of the year despite the depreciation of certain investments held by its subsidiary Vivendi ( + 0.14% to 28.54 euros), notably Spotify and Tencent Music Entertainment.

On the other hand, among bank stocks BNP Paribas (-0.97% to 50.95 euros) and Crédit Agricole (-0.31% to 11.72 euros) suffered from the decline in sovereign bond yields.
