are in the quarter-finals of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics beach volleyball tournament. In the round of 16 the Azzurri (silver in Rio 2016) overtook the Poles Bryl and Fijalek for two sets to zero (22-20, 21-18).
In the quarter-finals the Italian couple will face Younousse-Tijan (Qatar).
With 7.99 meters,
Filippo Randazzo
finished in eighth place the final of the long jump at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The gold medal was won by the Greek Miltiadis Tentoglou with 8.41.
Same measure of the Cuban Juan Miguel Echevarria who, however, is silver for the second measure lower than that of the Greek (8.09 against 8.15).
Bronze to another Cuban, Maykel Masso, with 8.21.
There are also two Italians among the 24 qualified for the semi-finals of the 200 meters of the Tokyo Olympics.

: the first qualified directly with the third place in her battery in 23''26, the second, fourth in the battery, was rescued thanks to a time of 23''16.

Italy finished in fourth place the qualifications of the women's team pursuit test: tomorrow in one of the four heats they will challenge Germany who set the best time, in 4'07''307, a new world record.

Rachele Barbieri, Letizia Paternoster, Elisa Balsamo and Vittoria Guazzini
- they finished the four-kilometer test in 4'11 "666 (new Italian record) and are therefore still in contention for gold. In the event of a victory against Germany, the Italians will qualify for the final for first place . In case of defeat, however, to access the bronze final, they will have to record one of the two best times among the six teams out of the final. In provisional second place there is Great Britain, in third the USA: these two teams are they will challenge for the other place in the final, from fifth to eighth place France, New Zealand, Australia and Canada.
