The driver of a car crossed a red light at high speed and rammed another, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Flores.
From the impact, a 31-year-old woman died and another was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The tragic episode occurred around 4.30 in the morning this Monday, at
the intersection of San Pedrito and Juan Bautista Alberdi avenues
.
According to security cameras in the area, a Renault 18 crossed San Pedrito in red at full speed and rammed the Chevrolet Onix that was heading for Alberdi.
As part of the impact,
the Chevrolet rolled onto the sidewalk
, while the Renault caught fire.
In addition, two other parked cars were damaged.

that the driver's companion, a woman of Dominican nationality, lost her life on the spot, while another person was taken to the Álvarez hospital with trauma.

Samuel, one of the drivers involved, said at a press conference: "He crossed in red because I never saw him."
And he said the fatal victim was going ahead with him.
Still in shock, the man added that the other motorist "escaped" from the scene, for which he asked the police to identify him with the cameras in the area.
