Vigneux-sur-Seine: a policeman run over by a motocross during a rodeo

He couldn't avoid motocross in time.

This Sunday evening, while patrolling in the Croix Blanche district, on the Vigneux-sur-Seine side, a police officer from the Val d'Yerres anti-crime brigade (BAC) was struck by a two-wheeler.

Around 11:30 p.m., accompanied by one of his colleagues, the agent spotted two young people without helmets who zigzag between the towers and rear wheels.

The police then get out of their car to end their urban rodeo.

But the young people refuse to comply.

One of them accelerates in the direction of the BAC agents, tries to bypass their car and violently collides with one of the police officers who comes out of it.

Affected in the lumbar region, he suffered from severe bruises and a cervical sprain.

Examined by a doctor, he was issued seven days of total incapacity for work (ITT).

A man in custody

A quarter of an hour later, the second author of the rodeo is spotted by the police as he walks in the neighborhood.

He tries to escape but is caught.

Known to the police and aged 23, he was taken into police custody.

No motorbike was found.

"These facts are part of the almost daily violence suffered by our colleagues", denounces Claude Carillo, of the Alliance 91 police union ".

The Essonne police have made the fight against urban rodeos one of their summer priorities. During the night from Sunday to Monday, two other “pilots” were arrested in Evry-Courcouronnes and Corbeil-Essonnes. On July 31, two motorcycles were seized in Evry-Courcouronnes. The next day, a control operation resulted in the verbalization of a dozen motorized vehicles on the Saclay plateau, where rodeos are frequent.
