Corona in Bavaria: Berchtesgadener Land is becoming a German hotspot

On Monday (July 26th), the Bavarian district of Berchtesgadener Land was the first district in Bavaria to pass the 50 mark for the first time in five weeks with an incidence of 58.5. Since the value was already over 25 over the weekend, stricter rules have been in place for students from the fifth grade since Monday. According to the 13th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance, a mask had to be worn again on the site during the last week of school.

Since the incidence value in Berchtesgadener Land fell slightly below the 50 limit again on Wednesday, citizens do not have to be prepared for further restrictions for the time being.

However, if the district is over 50 again on Saturday, new rules will apply from Sunday.

That would mean, for example, that fewer people are admitted to various events and that a current negative corona test * would be required for some occasions.
