Nuremberg - On Saturday (July 31), the police arrested a 19-year-old man.

He is said to have seriously injured an 18-year-old with a broken bottle the evening before, according to a report from the Central Franconia police headquarters *.

At around 11:45 p.m., forces from the Nuremberg East Police Station and the USK Middle Franconia were called to Wöhrder Wiese in Nuremberg *.

There should have been an argument between several groups of people.

On site, the officers became aware of a young man who was bleeding profusely from his neck.

They provided first aid and called the ambulance, who took the young man to a hospital.

The injury turned out to be serious, but not life-threatening.

According to initial surveys, the man's injuries stem from a previous confrontation on the Prinzregentenufer.

Accordingly, the group of the 18-year-old should have quarreled with a group of young men.

Later, the initially unknown perpetrator is said to have attacked the 18-year-old with a broken bottle, injuring his neck.

Then the perpetrator fled.

The police immediately searched for him and others involved.

An application for arrest against alleged perpetrators has been submitted - the police are looking for witnesses

The emergency services recorded numerous personal details.

In addition, some of the perpetrators were provisionally arrested.

The officials found evidence of a 19-year-old man.

However, this was not among those arrested.

On Saturday (July 31st) officers from the Nuremberg East Police Station were able to arrest a suspect in the southern part of Nuremberg.

The prosecution filed an application for arrest against him.

The investigating judge has now issued an arrest warrant.

The exact sequence of events and the reason for the dispute are not yet known.

The murder commission of the Nuremberg criminal police is now looking for witnesses.
