India recorded 30,549 new infections and 422 deaths from the emerging coronavirus during the past 24 hours.
According to the latest data from the World Meter website, the total number of HIV infections since the start of the pandemic in the country has reached 31,726,507 infections, while the total number of deaths has reached 425,228 cases.
India still ranks second after the United States in terms of the number of HIV infections globally and third after the United States and Brazil in terms of the number of related deaths.
