On the occasion of the seventy-sixth anniversary of the founding of the Syrian Arab Army, the branch of the Revolutionary Youth Union in Tartous today carried out a blood donation campaign in the blood bank, with the participation of 45 young men and women.
A number of campaign participants confirmed to SANA’s reporter that blood donation is a national and humanitarian duty and a token of appreciation and loyalty to the sacrifices of the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army, who gave a lot for the sake of the homeland, expressing their readiness to donate again.
The Secretary of the Tartous Youth Branch, Adnan Ghanem, confirmed that the youth wanted, through this campaign, to express their appreciation for the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army for the sake of the homeland and to follow up on the organization's plan in the field of volunteer work.
Director of the Tartous Blood Bank, Colonel Nawal Ibrahim, pointed out the importance of these campaigns in supporting the blood bank of various types that patients need, especially the wounded of the Syrian Arab Army, thalassemia patients, cancer, heart surgery and surgeries, stressing the importance of encouraging a culture of blood donation as a measure beneficial to health and the body.
