The Government last night on the "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Requirements and Instructions) (Business and Premises) Regulations" (Chapter 599F), "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Prohibition of Group Gathering) Regulations" (Chapter 599G) and "Prevention And the Control of Disease (Mask Wearing) Regulations (Chapter 599I) are gazetted to maintain the existing social distancing measures.

These instructions and specifications will take effect from midnight on August 5th and will last for 14 days until August 18.

Non-injection restaurant employees are more frequently tested

A spokesman for the Food and Health Bureau said that taking into account the risks involved in the operation of restaurants, especially when customers eat and drink without wearing masks most of the time in the premises, they will tighten the operation in the Class B mode of operation in August. The catering business’s employee testing stipulates that employees will be required to conduct more frequent testing, from testing once every 14 days to once every seven days.

Employees who have completed the vaccination will continue to be deemed to have met the relevant testing requirements.

In addition, as personal health conditions may change from time to time, the reporting arrangements for employees who are not suitable for vaccinations due to health reasons will be discussed, and they will be required to reconsult their doctors regularly, and must submit a new doctor's certificate to the person in charge of the premises or employer.
