It was just a “festival light” - but the visitors still enjoyed the bonfire in the Schafhof.

That felt good after the long deprivation of culture!

Freising

- The campfire was crackling to itself, the beer tables were set up, people were lounging on blankets in the grass and enjoying the atmosphere and the music: Even if the fourth edition of the Bonfire Festival on the Schafhof site on Saturday was a "light" version the mood was wonderful.

And because the weather meant well with the hard-working and hard-working, the conclusion was clear at the end of the “Bonfire”, which was a bit slimmed down due to the Corona: A nice festival.

It started at 5 p.m .: Marc Hanow, who launched the Bonfire Festival together with his partner Julian Hobmeier, welcomed the fans, the bands and thanked the sponsors and the 22 hard-working crew members (almost all of them family members) .

And that was about the formalities, because from then on songwriters, songwriters, singers, singers and guitarists took over the command.

It started with a trio: Bob Eberl, accompanied by Titus Waldenfels on guitar and with Alina on second microphone, showed that campfire romance and a singer-songwriter feeling can also be achieved with German lyrics.

He was followed by Martin "Butsch" Biechele - known from Coldplay and the Jumpin 'Jacks, another constant in the Freising songwriter firmament.

A touch of country then wafted over the Schafhof grounds when Saralinda from Au and her band Headlights took the stage, honored the singer-songwriter tradition of an Emmylou Harris, indulged in folk and country and so the north of Freising a bit made to Nashville.

A wonderful atmosphere!

Harry Marte was the name of the man who made the Bonfire Festival happy and exuded international flair as an Austrian: Located somewhere between John Hiatt, Bob Dylan and JJ Cale, the distinctive musician led the hosts over: Apollon's Smile - Hanow and Hobmeier - conjured up a wonderful atmosphere under the starry sky, just as they always do with their passion, dedication and skills.

After many months of starvation for both fans and musicians, that Saturday was an important part of the resurrection of cultural life.

"Light", but still bonfire.

A really nice festival.

Also interesting: with a delay of more than three years: the cinema in Freising opens - the sound is supposedly "unique"
