The Damascus branch of the Arab Writers Union held a literary meeting in which a number of story writers participated with topics that dealt with human concern and social reality based on the foundations of storytelling and artistic construction.
The meeting was opened by Dr. Ibrahim Zaarour, expressing the importance of activating the role of the short story as an important and effective literary genre.
The narrator, Muhammad Baqi Muhammad, delivered a short story in which he dealt with human pain in the days of “Sfarbulk” and exposing society to great tragedies in an artistic style that combines authenticity and contemporary.
The writer Suhail Al-Deeb presented a story entitled “Pants and a Shirt” in which he faced the pain caused by poverty and what a person is exposed to in life, using the tools of reality for his careful artistic construction and his objectively balanced event, which leads to an amazing conclusion.
The story of the writer Nasr Mohsen dealt with corruption and reality over a long time and presented how injustice and oppression occur with an artistic building that carries visions and ideas through which he wants to present human requirements as events passed in a balanced suspense.
The literary attendees gave critical and impressionistic interventions about the stories, which unanimously agreed on the strength of their construction and artistry.
