The flagship rapper of the IAM group, tested positive for Covid-19, was hospitalized and transferred to intensive care at the Timone hospital center, in Marseille, on Sunday evening.
Akhenaton was taken care of by the vital emergencies of the hospital of Timone for respiratory distress.
Contacted by BFM Marseille Provence, his family confirms that the 52-year-old artist has been hospitalized but refuses to comment.

On July 21, the group IAM also had to cancel three concerts because one of the members, whose identity had remained secret, tested positive for Covid-19.
IAM was to perform in Saint-Raphaël (Var) on Monday then in Luxey (Landes) on Tuesday.
Akhenaton has publicly displayed his opposition to the health pass on various occasions.
