The Brazilian Ministry of Health said today that it recorded 32,316 new cases of the emerging coronavirus within twenty-four hours, and 1,209 deaths from Covid-19.
According to the ministry's data, the total number of HIV infections has reached 19,985,817 since the outbreak of the pandemic, while the total deaths rose to 558,432.
Brazil currently records the third largest number of HIV infections in the world after the United States and India, and ranks second in the world in the number of deaths.
