Good news from the Bad Tölz forestry company: The toll road between Vorderriß and Wallgau will be open again from 10 a.m. this Thursday, August 5th.

Lenggries - As reported, the toll road between Vorderriß and Wallgau had to be closed on July 23, after the Isar had gnawed at the steep bank a few days earlier during flooding and the stability of the toll road could no longer be guaranteed.

Plans for relocating the road in the danger zone had already been approved
Since the forest enterprise had already identified the area as a future danger zone some time ago, there were approved plans for relocating the toll road in this sub-area.
Work on the bypass route is currently under way.
Forest manager Rudolf Plochmann estimates that it will take about eight weeks to build.
Emergency road is single-lane, traffic is regulated by a traffic light
Until the section is finished, road users can use an emergency route that has been set up in the past few days.
The approximately 500-meter-long section is single-lane drivable.
A traffic light regulates the traffic.

In addition, the state forests used the closure to exchange several culverts on the remaining route.
