The Latakia Fire Brigade and the Forestry Department in the Directorate of Agriculture put out a fire that broke out in agricultural lands in the village of Al-Qalouriya in the countryside of Qardaha.
The commander of the regiment, Major Muhannad Jaafar, told SANA reporter that vehicles from the regiment and the forestry department in the Directorate of Agriculture participated in the operations of suppressing and controlling the fire and preventing its expansion, estimating the damages to about 20 dunums of lands planted with olives.
