Freising

- The Camerloher-Gymnasium was one of the first schools in the region to receive the “Fairetrade School” certificate and which has so far been extended this certificate due to its diverse activities.

The members of the AK, together with their head Daniela Görlich-Kunert, were visibly relieved that all possible hurdles had now been overcome in order to be able to officially put the Fairomat into operation.

"Never lost the enthusiasm"

"Even if it was sometimes difficult: We never lost our patience and enthusiasm," said Elena Kotny, student of 7a, when greeting the students and guests, including Monika Hobmair and Johanna Sticksel from the Fair Forum of Freising . Headmistress Andrea Bliese thanked the AK Faire Trade for the enormous commitment. The Fairomat helps to further raise awareness of the need for fair trade goods in the school family, emphasized Bliese. "Now we can better supply everyone with fair trade goods."

The fact that it took almost three years from the idea to implementation is related to the fact that the schoolgirls first had to find sponsors for the Fairomat.

Because such a machine costs well over 1500 euros, depending on the equipment.

Then it took the school's administrative expenses officer, the district, almost a year to clarify the fire protection regulations for the installation of such a Fairomat, according to Bliese.

a review

Anna Hannus, spokeswoman for the working group, recalled all the difficulties that had been associated with the purchase of the Fairomat.

Every year the AK organized a St. Martin's goose campaign, one or two cake campaigns, a fair breakfast and much more in order to raise the necessary money for the Fairomat.

"In addition, the city of Freising, our parents' council, the Göls and Hannus families and Ms. Bliese supported us so that we could order the Fairomat at the end of the last school year," said Anna Hannus.

"It was a heartfelt project that has now come true, and we want to thank our great AK leader Ms. Görlich-Kunert for this."

With a cut through the red ribbon, the headmistress Andrea Bliese officially handed over the Fairomat to its destination.
