As part of its project to celebrate Syrian musicians with creative footprints, the Syrian National Band for Arab Music, led by Maestro Adnan Fathallah, celebrated an artistic stature that enriched the lyrical library with hundreds of muwashahat through a musical evening entitled “Salute to the late musician Adnan Abu Al-Shamat”.

The evening, which was hosted by the Opera Theater at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts, provided an opportunity to recall some of those works that were imprinted in the memory of the Syrian audience, who has a taste for authentic Syrian music.

The evening, which was attended by the able singer Abdel Nour Belka, who was one of the students of the late musician and accompanied him in most of his artistic stages, was the preparation and distribution of its program by young Syrian academic musicians, namely Mahdi al-Mahdi, George Moussa and Kamal Sekker.

The program included many songs, as the choir of the band, consisting of 26 singers, and worked on his musical training, Nazih Asaad, made a great effort to multiply the program’s paragraphs and their privacy. Abandonment fond and owner of the heart ransom what belongs to him.

In the second part of the evening, the singer Bilke performed my song “Do you keep the promise and the role of the dimension is long?” In the last part of the evening, the band presented with the choir the song “The Roses in your cheek and shame” as it lit up the popular songs written and composed by musician Abu Al-Shamat for the Umayyah band through the “Lala” song, to conclude the evening with the song “Lil Al Sham” .

The late musician Adnan Abu Al-Shamat, who passed away ten years ago during his artistic career, presented hundreds of melodies, muwashshahat and songs, including folk songs that he presented to the Umayyah Folk Dance Troupe. Senior singers such as Sabah Fakhri and Maha Al-Jabri sang to him, and he is considered one of the great composers.
