Two women and a girl were taken hostage at dawn this Wednesday by the husband of one of them, who
held them captive and threatened them with a knife
for hours before releasing them due to the intervention of Grupo Halcón.
The incident occurred in El Palomar around 1.30 am in a house located in Sourignes at 2100. According to sources in the case, a 41-year-old man held his 40-year-old partner captive and under threat;
her mother, 71, and daughter, 9.
It all started after a couple fight between the accused, identified as Ricardo Aimi, and his wife.
The man attacked his mother-in-law and fractured her septum.
Shortly after, troops from the 6th police station.
de Morón arrived at the house and at that moment Aimi took a knife and began threatening the women.
The attacker was arrested after more than five hours of threats.
The situation became more tense as the minutes passed and that is why
a negotiator and members of the Halcón Group
of the Buenos Aires police
were
summoned to the scene
.
Hours later, and after various negotiations, the man released his mother-in-law and his partner's daughter and requested the presence of the media to surrender.
Finally, after almost five hours, the man released his partner and was arrested.
The three women were treated by medical personnel from a local Emergency Medical Care System (SAME) ambulance and are out of danger.
According to the first testimonies of the defendant's partner, he
had
already
suffered other acts of violence with the defendant
, the first of them on July 10, during the final of the Copa América between Argentina and Brazil.
However, Aimi did not have complaints of gender violence either in the prosecution or in the Family Court, although she does have a robbery case in the La Matanza justice.
Prosecutor Hernán Moyano, in charge of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 10 specialized in Gender Violence of the Morón judicial department, will today take an investigative statement from the accused for the crimes of "illegitimate deprivation of liberty and threats."
