A 13-year-old girl who returned from Macau to Hong Kong was listed as a close contact of a confirmed case of the Macau variant virus, and the seventh floor of the Immigration Building was therefore included in the mandatory test announcement.
The Immigration Department said today (5th) that other visa and entry permit section offices and e-channel registration offices on the floor will be suspended today and will resume public services tomorrow (6th).
The Immigration Department stated that it has completed thorough cleaning and disinfection in accordance with the guidelines of the Centre for Health Protection, and arranged for all employees of the relevant offices to undergo testing.
