The branch of the General Organization for Seed Propagation in Daraa announced the opening of subscription for foreign potato seeds for all varieties, which will continue until the sixteenth of this month.
And the director of the branch, Ghazi Al-Nasif, said in a statement to SANA’s economic bulletin today that the subscription is made to individuals or agricultural associations according to the agricultural regulation, provided that those wishing to extract the seeds pay an amount of one million pounds as an initial advance for one ton, stressing that the seeds distributed in the General Organization for Seed Multiplication and its branches in the governorates are characterized by high productivity and yield. Good in unit area as well as encouraging prices compared to market and dealer prices.
The branch distributed 4,212 tons to potato growers last season, 2020-2021, compared to 2,174 tons in the previous season.
