The Acropolis is usually open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in summer.

Forest fires hit some regions of Greece

According to a report by the German Press Agency, the weather office in Athens expects

Due to the heat wave, civil defense is also warning of a high risk of forest fires in large parts of the country.

On Tuesday night, the fire brigade had to do with larger and smaller fires on the island of Rhodes, in a ravine near the village of Maritsa, on the Peloponnese peninsula and on the Evros river on the Greek-Turkish border.
