But there is a lack of meeting places and activities for young people.

Poing - create more meeting places and offers for young people and introduce the interactive app "PLACEm" as an opportunity to have a say and for event dates: these are projects that are part of the youth concept of the municipality of Poing and are to be implemented this year.
This was announced by the youth care worker Martina Venus and the head of pedagogy, Thorsten Gürntke, at the last municipal council meeting before the summer break.
There they presented the now completed youth concept.
Poing: interactive app "PLACEm"
Short-term measures for the second half of the year include the construction of an open shelter as a meeting point in the area of the playground north of Kirchheimer Allee and the introduction of the “PLACEm” interactive app.
Martina Venus announced that it will start with the new school year in September.
The app offers young people the opportunity to participate in the form of surveys, as a calendar of events and as a short link to the youth workers.
Speaking of which: The street work position, which has been orphaned for years, should be filled again according to the youth concept.

Action and theme days at the Poing Youth Center
As soon as possible and in the long term, target group-related offers in the youth center, as they existed in the past, are to be implemented.
For example, “girls' days” with cosmetics and Co. or cooking courses.
Another goal defined in the youth concept is to expand the holiday program to include leisure time and activities for young people.
In addition, a concept is to be drawn up for the implementation of a space that is self-administered by young people.
Young people should help shape it
For November, the youth department is planning a simulation game with young people to collect ideas for offers that could be created in the activity band in the Lerchenwinkel development area.
On the subject of "Activities", Mayor Thomas Stark added that the lease agreement for a plot of land considered by the administration on which a pump track (mountain bike route) will be built will probably soon be completed and signed.
Medium term: parties, festivals, holiday camps
In addition to short-term, medium- and long-term measures are laid down in the youth concept.
The final implementation and opening of a self-administered room is planned for the period of the next three years (= medium-term).
Furthermore, the small skate park in Bergfeldpark (at the foot of the Theatron) is to be redesigned in color together with young people.
In addition, the list of medium-term measures includes parties, festivals and events as well as holiday camps abroad.
Long-term: revive Theatron, introduce youth bus
The reactivation of the event area of the Theatron in Bergfeldpark is mentioned in the youth concept as beyond the perspective of three years (= long-term).
And, as a completely new project: “Installation of a youth bus that drives to places popular with young people and offers activities there,” says the concept.
Ideally, an old school bus should be purchased for this, suggest Martina Venus and Thorsten Gürntke.
The municipal council unanimously approved the concept and its implementation.
Speakers from all parliamentary groups praised youth care worker Venus and department head Gürntke for the elaboration and presentation.
After the theory, it will be the turn of the practice over the next few months and years.
