The liter of Super 95 has climbed 25 cents in one year

Inflation at the pump did not prevent the consumption of road fuels from increasing by 5.7% in June compared to June 2019, the reference period before the Covid crisis.


The rise in the price of black gold has repercussions on the budget of French motorists who notice it by refueling during the summer crossovers.

Compared to August 2020, the liter of diesel has increased by 20 cents, or 16%.

That of Super 95 of 24 cents, a jump of 18%, if we refer to the average prices calculated by the Ministry of Ecological Transition.

Due to the weight of taxation, variations in fuel prices are always smaller, in percentage, than those in the price of the barrel.

Fuel and the Super 95 on the rise

Diesel still absorbed 75% of the volume of road fuel consumed in June 2021 (a share down 1.7% over two years), according to Ufip, the French Union of Petroleum Industries.
