The authorities of the Turkish regime evacuated a plant for the production of electricity with thermal energy in the south of the country today, after the fires of forest fires reached the outskirts of the plant near the city of Milas on the Aegean Sea.
Agence France-Presse reported that a new fire broke out in the vicinity of the station after the fire that was threatening it was brought under control amid unprecedented fires that have swept this agricultural and tourist region of the country for more than a week.
For his part, Milas Mayor Mohamed Tokat said in a tweet: “The station is now being completely evacuated,” while local officials explained that the hydrogen tanks used to cool the station were emptied and filled with water from Bab Al-Heta.
The Turkish regime was criticized for the delay in the government's response to controlling the fires, which caused an increase in huge material losses and lives, at a time when regime officials did not make statements about the size of the areas affected by the fires.
