The Superclásico in La Plata was played with great intensity.
After a first half in which they ran more than they played, at the beginning of the complement the legs began to weigh and the fouls to be repeated in a hot match.
But Marcos Rojo's kick on Julián Álvarez
was out of every script.
They were barely 8 minutes from the complement when Álvarez first reached a ball in the middle of the court.
The ball had height to play it with the head and that was what the River forward tried to do, but Rojo - who was late - tried to hit the ball with his left boot.
The result was a brutal blow to the back of the River player.
As Álvarez writhed in pain on the pitch at the Estadio Único de La Plata, Rojo knew he had won the card.
It was for red, but
Patricio Loustau showed him the yellow one.
Boca should have stayed with ten players.

From the River bench they reproached the match referee and told him that Rojo's plugs had been marked on Julián Álvarez's back.
Loustau made a gesture and argued that he did not send off Boca's defender because he did not hit his opponent's head.
Loustau barely got the yellow from Rojo.

The game after that play raised their temperature and they saw the yellow Zambrano first and Zuculini later, one per side.
