The Corona Cabinet decided yesterday (Tuesday) to impose further restrictions on the public in the face of rising morbidity in the Corona, including expanding the green label outline, the obligation to wear masks even in open spaces during crowds, and expanding the list of countries requiring isolation.
Most of the decisions will take effect next Sunday.
During the discussion, some of the ministers raised the possibility that another closure would be imposed on the public during the coming month.

When will the restrictions take effect?
All decisions will take effect on Sunday, with the exception of the expansion of the "green mark" outline, which will take effect from Friday, August 20, in favor of completing the establishment of the rapid testing system.
The guidelines include the obligation to wear masks even in open spaces where there is a crowd of 100 people or more.
Where will the green character apply?
Today the green label applies to places over 100 people, indoors or outdoors.
As of August 20, the green label will also be extended to places where there is a crowd of less than 100 people, and to all ages (even under the age of 12).
Only people who have been vaccinated, recovering or with a valid negative corona test will enter these places.
Places with a green mark: cultural and sports events, hotels, gyms, restaurants and bars, prayer rooms and conferences.
Places without a green label: shops, malls, pools, museums, libraries, national parks and nature reserves.

And what about arriving with children?
Until August 20, children under the age of 12 are allowed to enter places with a green sign without a test, because they are not entitled to be vaccinated, but from that date they will also have to undergo speed tests.
From Sunday, speed testing complexes will be deployed throughout the country.
A person who can be vaccinated and has not done so, will have to pay about 90 shekels for each test, which is valid for 72 hours.
To whom will the duty of isolation apply?
The Corona Cabinet has decided that a one-week isolation obligation will apply to a vaccinated adult caring for a child under the age of 12 or a helpless person who has been found to be verified.
The rest of the vaccinated adults who came in contact with verified, should not go into isolation.
In addition, a one-week isolation obligation on returnees from red (prohibited and maximum risk) or orange (travel warning) countries continues.
All returnees from abroad must be in isolation until a negative test result is obtained, if the test result did not arrive 24 hours after it was performed at the airport - the test subject is exempt from isolation.

Have flight restrictions changed?
Cabinet ministers have decided to expand the list of countries to include most countries in the world, and returning from them will require isolation, both for the vaccinated and the recovering, while defining a very limited list of green countries, returning from which will require isolation until a negative test result.
However, these regulations need a more detailed date and guidelines, so for now, the old outline under which there is a list of red and orange countries will continue, with next Wednesday, August 11, including Egypt, France and Greece.
Is there a requirement to work from home?
It was decided to transfer the government ministries (and as far as possible the entire public sector) to a work format with a 50% attendance in the ministry, with the ministry director general being allowed to make adjustments in exceptional cases.

The possibility of closure is on the agenda?
Yes, the prime minister and cabinet ministers have called on the public to get vaccinated as soon as possible and to comply with guidelines to avoid more severe restrictions, including closure.
Ministers, however, have not set morbidity indices or indices for the desired percentage of vaccinated, so there is no way to comply with the government's decision.
Will the school year open as a series?
For now, there is no change in the guidelines and decisions and the school year will begin on time on September 1st.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Health, the Minister of Health and the team of experts advising the Cabinet, want to open the year in the form of increased tests in disease areas.
