Weather in Bavaria: Continuous rain has a firm grip on the south
The entire Alpine foothills are already colored orange on the warning map of the German Weather Service (DWD).
The map legend says: "Warning of striking weather *." There is an official warning of continuous rain from 3 pm for the region.
Almost 24 hours later - on Thursday at 12 noon - the rain is expected to subside.
Thereby 30 to 40 liters can fall on the square meter.
It doesn't look much better in northern Bavaria.
There is even a threat of thunderstorms *.
The DWD speaks of locally limited rain showers in the afternoon in Lower and Upper Franconia.

Weather in Bavaria: Temperatures below 20 degrees are the order of the day
The temperatures on Wednesday are also anything but summery.
In the constant rain it is just 16 degrees in Berchtesgaden.
In Lower and Middle Franconia, the thermometer climbs to 22 degrees.
During the night, the values drop to 13 to 14 degrees across Bavaria.
While on Thursday in the east half under the rain clouds it was only enough for 16 degrees, in the west at least the sun looks out from time to time.
So it doesn't get much warmer.
The range extends from 18 degrees in Kempten to 22 degrees in Würzburg.
