A young couple from the United Kingdom experienced an enormous amount of sensations and challenges during the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It is that
in just 11 months, they experienced two births and went from one child to five
.
All with the fear and anguish of the damn virus lurking.
Jessica Pritchard, who is 31 years old and a kindergarten teacher, gave birth to her second daughter Mia in May 2020 and then welcomed triplets into the world in April,
just 11 months later
.
Jessica, who also has an eight-year-old daughter, Molly, told Wallesonline that she and her partner Harry Williams, 34,
were "speechless" when they found out they were expecting triplets.
But she added that the couple feel
"very lucky and blessed"
with their new additions, even though that means they now
have five children under the age of eight
.
"They have been a whirlwind these last 12 months.
We had a baby and then three more, all during the confinement
. Mealtime is fun because everyone needs to be fed at the same time," he said.
"Aside from taking longer to feed, you also have to change three diapers instead of one.
I just need to be more organized
, but I'm a pretty organized person," he added.
Jessica was still on maternity leave after Mia's birth when she
found out she was pregnant again
in October 2020.
The four new "additions" to the family.
Due to Covid restrictions, Jessica
had to go alone to get
her studies
done
and broke the news of the triplets to her partner when she got home.
"
I was alone due to Covid rules
and the sonographer initially said that I was going to have twins, which was a shock in itself, but then he kept looking and said he had found a third."
"I was speechless.
I really couldn't believe it
. I waited until I got home to tell Harry. When I told him, he too was speechless," she added.
The triplets
were born at 31 weeks as a precaution
and spent seven weeks in neonatal care before being able to go home last month.
