Dozens of Palestinians, during a sit-in in the city of Hebron in the West Bank today, called on the international community, human rights and human rights institutions and the International Red Cross to urgently intervene to save the lives of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons, especially the sick and the hunger strikers.
Wafa Agency stated that the participants in the sit-in in front of the Red Cross headquarters in the center of Hebron raised Palestinian flags and pictures of the hunger strikers, stressing the need to continue supporting the prisoners and solidarity with them in light of the violations and brutal practices they are subjected to by the occupation, amid deliberate medical neglect against them.
About 5,300 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including about 550 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
