The Stuttgart public prosecutor's office is targeting the Federal Ministry of Transport and the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA).
These would have acted to the disadvantage of Daimler.
Stuttgart - The emissions affair remains an issue among German car manufacturers. The Stuttgart concern Daimler * sees itself unlawfully condemned. Now the Stuttgart public prosecutor's office is investigating. It is about the suspicion of the unauthorized disclosure of trade or business secrets to the detriment of Daimler, said a spokeswoman for the authorities on Thursday and confirmed a report by

. The investigation was initiated “ex officio”. It will initially be determined against unknown. The spokeswoman did not want to give details.
The car manufacturer Daimler has been arguing with the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) for years in the wake of the emissions scandal.
This had had hundreds of thousands of diesel vehicles recalled by Daimler because of a supposedly inadmissible exhaust technology.
The group, on the other hand, insists that there was no manipulation and is therefore suing the competent administrative court.
Daimler and KBA do not want to comment
When asked, Daimler did not comment on the investigation.
The Federal Ministry of Transport in Berlin declared that the authorities were complying with the information and cooperation obligations incumbent on the public prosecutor's investigation.
Further details were not given.
The KBA in Flensburg did not provide any information with reference to the ongoing proceedings.
