Elon Musk says he's going to have a new biography.

The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX tweeted Wednesday that biographer Walter Isaacson will write the book.

He did not say when it would be published.

"If you're curious about Tesla, SpaceX and my wanderings in general, @WalterIsaacson write a bio," Musk said on Twitter.

Isaacson, a history professor at Tulane University, has written the biographies of Benjamin Franklin, Henry Kissinger, and Steve Jobs.

Her most recent book, "The Code Breaker: Jennifer Doudna, Gene Editing, and the Future of the Human Race," is about the Nobel Prize-winning biochemist who developed CRISPR gene editing technology.

Previously, Isaacson was editor of Time magazine, CEO of the Aspen Institute, and CEO and president of CNN.

He is also a contributor to "Amanpour," CNN International's world affairs talk show.

He did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Simon & Schuster, which has published several Isaacson books, also did not immediately respond to a question about whether he is participating in a Musk biography.

Musk - the billionaire known for his daring style and direct attitude - is a very popular subject for a book.

This week, Wall Street Journal reporter Tim Higgins published a book on Musk titled "Power Play: Tesla, Elon Musk and the Bet of the Century."

The book includes an anecdote claiming that Musk once suggested to Apple CEO Tim Cook that he be appointed CEO of the powerful American tech company.

In a tweet, Musk denied that such interaction took place, adding that he and Cook "have never spoken or written to each other."

Cook & I have never spoken or written to each other ever.

There was a point where I requested to meet with Cook to talk about Apple buying Tesla.

There were no conditions of acquisition proposed whatsoever.

I have refused to meet.

Tesla was worth about 6% of today's value.

Higgins, the author, responded by saying that the Tesla founder was given "many opportunities" to comment, adding that the anecdote came from "Musk's own account of the conversation, according to people who heard the narration at the time."

Musk was given plenty of opportunities to comment on this.

I didn't.

Musk's 2015 biography "Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX and the Quest for a Fantastic Future," by journalist Ashlee Vance, also included an explosive anecdote.

Vance claimed, based on an anonymous Tesla employee, that the tech entrepreneur once scolded a worker who decided to attend the birth of his son rather than a work event.

Musk denied at the time that such an event took place.

Clare Duffy and Charles Riley contributed to this report.
