The grieving prince still can't believe the news: “We spoke on the phone last week.” He and his cousin were very close.
The two had just made arrangements for Tatjana to visit the prince at his residence in Austria.
"That it goes so quickly ..." explains the nobleman, still shocked.
The 58-year-old was neither married nor did she have children.
"We all knew that she was suffering from liver cancer, at last she only weighed 50 kilos," remarks Prince Alexander.
The princess now seems to have succumbed to this disease.

She lived until the end in her adopted home Munich and, according to various media reports, died there too.
It is not yet clear whether she will be buried in the Bavarian capital or on the family seat of Schloss Bückeberg.

The house of Schaumburg-Lippe is one of the most famous noble families in Europe.
Prince Alexander zu Schaumburg-Lippe took over this title from his father Philipp Ernst zu Schaumburg-Lippe after he died in 2003.
In 2020, the head of the family married the concert pianist Mahkameh Navabi in a small circle.
For the prince it is already the third marriage, for the pianist the second.
