Zhang Daming said that he did not participate in the meeting of the school committee last night, and he also received a temporary notice of the emergency meeting. However, he was unable to attend due to other matters. In the end, he did not receive the discussion documents and did not know the specific discussion content.

He pointed out that he had formally resigned as a member of the school committee last night, but there was no positive response whether it was related to the school's above decision. He only said that "there are many factors, and I hope to focus on doing things that I can do."

When asked what he thought of the school's decision, Zhang Daming pointed out that the students did not do the right thing, but he has already apologized. The university should be a place to nurture students who have made mistakes and can correct them.

He mentioned that the school itself has a disciplinary inquiry procedure, with rules and regulations, and the disciplinary committee will make a decision after hearing the student's defense, but the decision seems to be "unauthorized".

He pointed out that for the time being, students have not seen any serious legal risks, and even if the students’ behavior on that day may constitute a violation of the law, under the principle of innocence assumption, students have not even been prosecuted, and questioned whether students should be disguised in such a disguised form of their right to study.

He pointed out that students may consult legal advice in the next step, because they are still students and have a legal relationship with the University of Hong Kong. Although the school also has the right to disciplinary actions, the school may not be able to stand up in terms of procedures. .
