Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi affirmed that cooperation between Iran and Russia is an effective factor and a deterrent to unilateralism in the world, stressing that relations between the two countries must enter a new phase with the need to take basic steps for their comprehensive development.

The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Raisi as saying during his meeting with Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin in Tehran today that the volume of cooperation between Iran and Russia is good and there is no obstacle to the comprehensive development of relations between the two countries, stressing his determination to follow the policies of the resistance economy in order to improve the economic conditions of Iran to confront the unjust embargo. by the United States and Europe.

In turn, Volodin stressed the need to increase cooperation between the two countries in all fields to overcome the sanctions imposed on them by Western countries.

During a meeting between Volodin and the Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Qalibaf criticized the hostile policies of the United States and the imposition of unjust sanctions on Iran and Russia, and said that the joint military and security cooperation between the two countries in the region constitutes a strong barrier to the destabilizing American measures against security and stability.

Qalibaf stressed the need to enhance the level of friendly relations between Tehran and Moscow in various fields, especially in the field of economic and trade exchanges.
